Ultraquick response to Ostend canal pollution

Just before midnight local anglers let us know that the Ostend canal nearby our HQ - yes the one you've all seen in the first Eurobanx - showed serious signs of pollution on the surface. Whether it is oil, fuel or a chemical substance is hard to tell on the vids we got.

Anthony Dumarey, the mayor of our town, lives in our street and was contacted immediately by us, to which he responded by calling the fire service who are damming the contaminated parts as we speak.

There's no conclusion yet what the pollution is, but samples have been taken for further analysis.
