Until nothing is left... - Must watch Brakass/K'Rptv 'Bon Sens' video
“Video killed the radio star — and now, video is killing public carp fishing.”
It’s something we’ve wrestled with for years, and the very reason we're not eager to film ourselves. Back in 2012, after a brief appearance in the first Urban Banx videos, we saw the dark side of social media carping unfold before our eyes. To this day, the two local Belgian canal spots we showed back then are being fished relentlessly by people who saw that video. It's not that we don't want to share (we do!), but with the mass invasion comes litter, fights, illegal extra rods, poaching for paylakes, etc.
And yet, if we embraced video, Monkey Climber could be ten times bigger. But we made a conscious choice not to.
That’s exactly why we want to recommend this raw, unpolished gem from the French underground carp angler Soël Briche (Brakass) in collaboration with K’Rptv. It’s a film set on vast, public French waters — full of runs, battles, and great carp — but without giving away a single clue: no drone shots, no road signs, no local shops, nothing.
Because those who do reveal such details often have blood on their hands — or butter on their heads as we say over here in Belgium. Once they’ve ruined one spot (notably, never in their own country), they simply move on to the next.
