In een ver, ver verleden toen de dieren nog spraken is onze hoofdredacteur Gio beginnen karpervissen. 1994 was dat, erin gerold na opeenvolgend paling-, wit- en feedervisserij gedaan te hebben. De eerste sessies waren trouwens nog met twee karperhengels naast de feeder setup, centen voor beetmelders waren er niet - enkel de oranje monkey climbers die tegen de blank vlamden tijdens een aanbeet konden hem uit de concentratie van zijn feedertip brengen. Geen wonder dat veel later Monkey Climber als naam voor dit magazine gekozen werd :-) Maar goed, we zijn dus ergens midden jaren '90 en vergis u niet...
