Last year we became a member of the French Authentik' Carpe Passion club, a group with some very noble causes like defending our rights as carp anglers, defending the carp itself whenever there's a problem (water closing, poor water quality, etc.) and trying to open up more venues to do our thing. Just before Winter came we got ourselves a Flanx True 5 season sleeping bag in house because a lot of our German friends and followers said it's simply the best thing out there. Wanted to test and review this one properly, but Winter never really came over here in Belgium yet & during the whole of January I didn't find the time to go out on the bank because of magazine and webshop work. Just before midnight local anglers let us know that the Ostend canal nearby our HQ - yes the one you've all seen in the first Eurobanx - showed serious signs of pollution on the surface. Whether it is oil, fuel or a chemical substance is hard to tell on the vids we got. Anthony Dumarey, the mayor of our town, lives in our street and was contacted immediately by us, to which he responded by calling the fire service who are damming the contaminated parts as we speak.
