For three years now 't Veld in Ardooie, a public water in our own province of West Flanders, is having serious difficulties with water levels after the province had works done. We fished it briefly in April last year ourselves and the side of the water we fished only had 70 cm of water... Local anglers have been raising the issue constantly but for some reason nothing happens. Sad to see this happening to an old school place holding a very good head of (old) fish up to mid forties.  Thanks to a local politician this was in the local news again...

From time to time we run a misprint or have fabrics with minor damages etc which we cannot sell on. Recently a customer and friend of ours dropped by and told us about his work over at the non profit organisation De Berkjes in Bruges, the only observation and treatment centre in our Belgian province of West Flanders for children and young people with behavioural and emotional problems.  These children often come from poor families too, or don't even have any real or caring parents. On Saturday we visited Hengelsport Waasland's open days, met a lot of lovely faces, including a couple we hadn't seen for decades, had some good chats and laughs, but being away from home and close to the Waesmeer syndicate we decided to do two sneaky overnighters in ice cold conditions.
