Wijsheid of waanzin? Vissen betekent aas maken en aas maken betekent vissen. Natuurlijk is het niet altijd zo eenvoudig, maar het een kan bij mij niet zonder het ander. Evenmin is het altijd een pretje, want wakker worden op een visafslag staat ook weleens tegen (zelfs als alleenstaande verkarperde) en er zijn ook momenten waarop ik helemaal geen zin heb in heel dat gesodemieter, maar ik doe het toch en telkens wanneer het laatste kooksel dan weer ligt te dampen onder de ventilator, hoor ik het in de verte al zachtjes een beetje fluiten. Unlike in the UK where every snippet of carp history is recorded, thanks to people like Tim Paisley, Kevin Clifford and the late Chris Ball, it's different over here in Europe. In our magazine we spent some features on German and Swedish history, in Belgium the VBK documented a lot, we believe the KSN organisation did a few bits on the Netherlands and there's also a few French fishing journalists we speak to regularly. But all in all there's no general books or anything per country or dealing with European carp history, which is very rich as well and goes...
